A stock is a form of security that indicates the holder has proportionate ownership in the issuing corporation. Stock refers to equity, however; crypto assets are also become increasingly popularized in the investment community. With the crypto exchange Coinbase offering an IPO (Initial Public Offering) of their shares to investors and discussion surrounding Bitcoin ETFs with regulators. We see a new climate and should expect future IPOs from crypto companies like Gold Standard Bank. During an economic disaster (pandemic) an increase in market capitalization has pushed technology companies forward increasing their individual market share. Amazon, Facebook, and Apple all saw sharp rises in share price given the nature of their business. With the strong trend toward investment in technology companies, the rise of blockchain corporations and monopolies is soon approaching. Stocks seem inflated, but crypto assets being a relatively new class offers more potential.
